Respite CareRespite Care is offered at Partners in Parenting in most of our programs. We can support your child/youth/adult in one of our foster homes, Supported Living Programs or at Spartan Grove Children's Residence. They type of home depends on the availability in our program.
We currently have several foster homes that could support ongoing respite to a child that can manage in a specialized foster home. Most children placed in foster care are require to sleep through the majority of the night with the exception of babies. Spartan Grove Children's residence has 1 vacancy for respite and can support complex special needs babies, children, youth and adults.
Our aim is to connect a child/youth to a program or home and establish a relationship with that program or family. We are able to provide short term and long term respite, vacation stays. Respite is a vital part of supporting your child/youth with special needs. Giving your family a rest, time to spend with other children, seeing friends and taking care of yourself is very important in being a successful caregiver.
