How do you determine which programs would best suit a participant? When an application is submitted, we review the participant's interests and abilities, and then work with them to develop a structured program that would best suit their needs. What are the bi-monthly excursions? Each group does a social community outing of their choice. (e.g., Visits to museums, local festivals, etc.) What sort of crafts, educational and physical activities are done? Staff is required to create crafts, educational, skills training and physical activities to meet the needs of all participants.There are four identified staff members who create the programs. Do you provide lunch and/or snacks for the participants? Every Wednesday, we provide lunch (includes main meal, dessert and beverage) for a minimal cost for the participants.Each participant is encouraged to bring their own snacks. What is a "Snoezelen" room? Snoezelen is a philosophy of care involving the stimulation of all senses - sight, hearing, smell, taste and touch. We currently have black lights, different tactile textures, aroma therapy, therapeutic music and massages. We are continuously adding to our Snoezelen room.
